Surrounded by the silent majesty of the Himalayas, the old Raj Hill station of Darjeeling has some of the most spectacular views, ever changing as the light shifts from sunrise to sunset. For the sheer natural beauty Sikkim is unparallel with its’ amazing variety of Orchids, and wild flowers, brilliant birds and butterflies and superb monasteries, the charm of the people and their cultural traditions.

 
Day 01 :-  

Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India and transfer to hotel for overnight.

 
Day 02 :-  

Delhi
Morning tour of New Delhi begins with a visit of the grateful mausoleum of the Moghul Emperor Humayun. Continue to the 13th century Qutab Minar, a dramatic 234 foot high fluted minaret. Proceed along the majestic promenade past the imposing India Gate War memorial, Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House and Raj Bhavan, official residence of the President. Discover Old Delhi this afternoon with a visit of Raj Ghat, the tranquil final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight at hotel.

 
Day 03 :-  

Delhi / Bagdogra / Darjeeling
Transfer to airport to board the early morning flight to Bagdogra Airport. Arrive and drive to Darjeeling, also called as the land of the mystic thunderbolt. Darjeeling is set amidst cool Tea Estates and an abundance of wild flowers, orchids and rhododendrons. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel

 
Day 04 :-  

Darjeeling
Tiger hill offers magnificent views of the sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga and Everest (subject, as always, to the weather). An early morning excursion to Tiger hill by jeeps allows you to enjoy the sunrise, followed by a visit to the picturesque monastery of Ghoom. Morning at leisure. Visit to a Tea Estate to discover for yourself just why Darjeeling is famous for its preparations. A freshly brewed cup of tea is offered with our compliments. Overnight at hotel.

 
Day 05 :-  

Darjeeling / Pemayangtse
Early morning departure for Pemayangste in Sikkim, our first stop in the land of the Yeti or Abominable snowman.

Afternoon a visit to the Monastery. The Pemyangtse Monastery is one of the state's oldest and most important monasteries. The monastery is a three-storey structure and filled with wall paintings and sculptures. On the third floor lies the Zandog-palri, a wooden model of the abode of Guru Rimpoche, complete with rainbows, angels and the whole panoply of buddhas and bodhisattvas. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

 
Day 06 :-  

Pemayangtse / Gangtok
Depart Pemayangtse for the capital city of beautiful Sikkim, Gangtok. Evening at leisure & overnight at hotel.

 
Day 07 :-  

Gangtok
Morning visit to the orchid sanctuary which boasts 200 different species of brilliant orchids. Also visit the Enchey monastery with its collection of exquisite images and religious objects. Evening at leisure & overnight at hotel.

 
Day 08 :-  

Gangtok
Visit the intriguing Rumtek monastery this morning. Home to the yellow Hat sec, the monastery houses magnificent murals, icons, rare manuscripts and displays rich carved and painted wood wok. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

 
Day 09 :-  

Gangtok / Kalimpong
Depart this morning for pleasant Kalimpong. Afternoon visit to the Dirdindara monastery, home to the Ningapar sect. Evening at leisure and overnight at hotel.

 
Day 10 :-  

Kalimpong / Phuentsholing (185 kms / 6 hours)
Depart Kalimpong for Phuentsholing, the frontier town of Bhutan is a fascinating mixture of intermingling of Bhutanese, Indian, Nepalese culture.

Evening take a stroll around Phuentsholing town and visit Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang, the temple situated in the city center. It represent the heaven of Guru Rinpoche. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 11 :-  

Phuentsholing / Thimphu (179 kms/ 6 hours)
Depart Phuentsholing for Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. This drive is very pleasant with numerous scenic spots en route 4 kms ahead of Phuentosholing, visit to Kharbandi Gompa, the beautiful monastery situated in garden of tropical plants and flowers , built in 1967 by Royal Grand mother. Further ahead visit Kamji monastery. Nearby Thimphu, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the king built in 1627 which now houses the school for Buddhist studies.

Arrival Thimphu and check-in hotel. Evening visit National Memorial Chorten, the building of this landmark was envisaged by the third king, His Mejesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as a monument to world peace and prosperity. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 12 :-  

Thimphu / Punakha (75 kms / 2 hours 30 minutes)
Morning visit to Thimpu valley which include a visit to National Library, Painting school, Textile and Folk Heritage museum and Handicraft Emporium. Later drive to Punakah across Dochula pass (3,088 meters) which hearlds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 13 :-  

Punakha / Paro (145 kms / 5 hours)
Morning visit to Punakha Dzong, a massive structure built at the junction of two rivers. Phunakha was Bhutan’s capital until 1955. Also visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, the newly built stupa. Then drive to Wangduephodrang visiting Dzong (from outside) town and local market. This district is famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings. After lunch, drive to Paro. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 14 :-  

In Paro
Drive up to the valley to view the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, 18 kms from Paro town on the northern side of the valley. It was from here that the Bhutanese repelled several invading Tibetan armies during the 17th century. Then take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called “Tiger’s Nest” . The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about five hours for round trip. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong, once a watchover, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century. Afterwards, walk a hillside trail to visit Rinphung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 15 :-  

Paro / Delhi
On time, transfer to airport for your flight to Delhi.

Meeting on arrival in Delhi & transfer to your hotel. Overnight hotel.

 
Day 16 :-  

Departure Delhi
On time, transfer to airport for your flight to home.
